Tomorrow will be the eighth time Sam and I celebrate the birth of Jesus as a couple. They have all been very special, but this time is perhaps the most sacred and meaningful. We now have our very own baby boy to share the celebration with.
There have been many lessons in parenthood for me over the last eight months or so since Daniel was born. Tonight’s lesson is a reflection on how Mary and Joseph may have felt as they prepared for the birth of Jesus, and how they experienced the birth itself. Having given birth to my son (literally. I pulled him out) I have a new appreciation for Christmas. Looking at Christmas through the experience of Joseph leaves me in awe. Simply in awe.
